Unlike some of the more fragile electric bicycles of yesterday, today's rugged e-bike features knobby mountain bike tires, high strength front suspension forks, disc brakes, and suspension seat post, all on a lightweight aluminum frame.

The Mountain Trailz electric bike sports a strong 450 watt chain-driven motor powered by an 18lb. 24V/10AH sealed lead acid (SLA) battery. Additionally, a second battery pack can be attached to these electric bikes, doubling the travel distance between recharges. The Mountain Trailz e-bike also mounts a twist-and-go (TAG) throttle that will get it rolling with out any peddling involved.
